Changes to creative leadership at FITCH

International design consultancy FITCH recently made three significant internal promotions. Stuart Wood has been appointed as the new executive creative director for Europe and Russia, and two other FITCH senior creatives, Alasdair Lennox and David Roberts, have been appointed creative directors.

Darrell Keeling named manufacturing manager for Flakeboard

Flakeboard Company hired Darrell Keeling as manufacturing manager for the company's composite panels manufacturing business. Keeling will join Jake Elston and Mike Rosso as one of the three manufacturing managers with multiple mill and business leadership responsibilities for the company. He will be located at the company's Ruston, La., location.  Keeling previously served as composite manufacturing vice president for Roseburg Forest Products and, prior to that, had worked at two of Flakeboard's mills in Ruston, La., and Bennettsville, S.C.

Interbrand Design Forum hires Dave Nixon to lead digital practice

Bruce Dybvad, CEO of Interbrand Design Forum, has named Dave Nixon executive director, digital strategy. In this role Nixon will lead the growing digital practice for the retail design firm. As the leader of the company's digital practice, Nixon will be responsible for helping to find and fix the client’s pain points through the development of strategies that allow them to leverage technology within their business models, and help them execute those strategies to generate revenue, become more efficient, and increase their brand value.

KYDEX names Martino western regional sales manager

KYDEX LLC, the U.S.-based manufacturer of proprietary KYDEX® thermoplastic sheet, announced the appointment of John Martino as Western Regional Sales Manager. Christian Davies rejoins FITCH as executive creative director, Americas

FITCH has appointed British-born designer and brand strategist, Christian Davies, executive creative director of the agency. He was vice president and managing creative director at Cincinnati-based FRCH Design Worldwide. Trained as an interior designer, Davies began his career at FITCH, based out of London, working with a variety of clients across the U.S. and Europe for more than decade. He is now returning to FITCH to head up creative across the FITCH U.S. network.

Corvo named managing director of ALU Inc.

ALU s.p.a. announced the appointment of Emanuele Corvo as the new managing director of Alu Inc. Corvo, who has more than 12 years of experience in the furnishing market, joined ALU Inc from Kartell U.S. Inc., where he was managing director. Hera names Kaba as marketing coordinator

Hera Lighting LP has hired Jennifer Kaba as the company's new in-house marketing coordinator. Director of Sales Brad Stewart said, “We’re very pleased to have Jenna on board. Her talent will leverage our effort to educate the industry about how LEDs are transforming interior design.” Kaba's background is in visual communications and graphic design from AIU and she brings 10-plus years of marketing, graphic design, and account management experience to the position. Dybvad promoted to CEO of Interbrand Design Forum

Lee Carpenter, founder of Interbrand Design Forum, has appointed current President and COO Bruce Dybvad to CEO. Carpenter, who has served as CEO of Interbrand Design Forum since its founding in 1978, will now focus solely on his role as CEO of Interbrand North America, a position he s held since 2006. Dybvad joined Interbrand Design Forum in 1980 and was named president in 1998. He added the additional role of president of Interbrand Cincinnati in 2006.

Garforth joins DVUV as operations manager

DVUV LLC has hired Jack Garforth as operations manager. Garforth will have responsibility for the following areas of operations management: quality control, production, process improvement, and vendor development for the company’s powder application business.
