Keep Your Member Information Current
Ensure that retailers receive the latest information on your company’s capabilities and services by keeping A.R.E. up to date on changes within your company and its offerings. You can review and update your member information online. Or call A.R.E. at 954-893-7300, ext. 4800. Note that only the main contact from your company is authorized to make changes. Here are some additional tips for ensuring that A.R.E.—and ultimately, potential buyers—have the latest information for your company:
- Update A.R.E. any time your company or contact information changes.
- Build an accurate and complete list of what your company can do into your member products and services description. Avoid including marketing-oriented adjectives and superlatives, and instead focus on your company’s specialty or core competencies. It’s in your favor to include words that a buyer might search for. They will never search on words such as “excellent,” “most experienced,” etc.
- Choose the product categories and capabilities that best describe your company’s offerings. The first 12 product categories and the first 12 capabilities listings are free for regular members (fixture providers); there’s a small charge for additional categories.
- Send your company’s news to A.R.E. at 4651 Sheridan St., Suite 470, Hollywood, FL 33021, or e-mail are@retailenvironments.org. Appropriate member news will be published on the A.R.E. web site and linked from your company profile page. Projects and new products of interest to retailers may be included on A.R.E.’s “Just for Retailers” web site, and news on industry awards may qualify you for additional icons.
