Pre-convention Reception

NASFM Golf Tournament and Hole-in-One
Thursday, Nov. 3 • 8:00 A.M.
Engage in a little friendly competition on the Aviara’s Arnold Palmer-designed golf course. The course received Golf Magazine's 2004 Gold Medal Resorts Award and rated 18th of Golf Digest's Top 75 Golf Resorts. The 7,007-yard, par-72 course is sculpted around the natural topography, with water hazards positioned as visual extensions of the lagoon. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams, closest to the pin, and for the hole-in-one competition during Thursday evening’s reception and dinner.

San Diego Zoo

Tour the beautiful and famous San Diego Zoo. The zoo is a brilliantly designed environment for the nearly 4,000 animals who call it home. From orangutans to pandas, tigers to pythons, many of the zoo's inhabitants are either rare or endangered.

Carlsbad-area Shopping Excursion
Friday, Nov. 4 • 10:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M.
Spend a morning shopping in Carlsbad for great bargains in trendy boutiques to upscale outlet stores. It’s a great opportunity to find items you just might not be able to live without, shop for that perfect memento, or new beach attire. Put on your walking shoes on and "shop ‘til you drop!" shoes on and "shop ‘til you drop!" in Carlsbad.
