Hollywood, Fla. (Sept. 25, 2008)—As part of its commitment to educate the industry for the greening of retail environments, the Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.) is a cooperating partner of Dollars and Sense of Going Green, a summit for primary and secondary hardwood manufacturers. Organized by Purdue University’s Department of Forestry & Natural Resources and Wood & Wood Products magazine, the Oct. 28-29, 2008, summit at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel focuses on the impact of green marketing of hardwood products at the international and national levels.
A.R.E. President Jack Hale, chairman of the board of T.J. Hale Co. Inc., will present A.R.E.’s green initiatives and an analysis of market demand for certified lumber and panel products for fixtures, displays, and other store interior elements.
The summit will address in-depth such topics as the availability of certified product, certification processes, procedures for purchasing and tracking certified products, market influences, and the ramifications of new California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements.
