1931—Frank
G. Mayer establishes a sign-painting business
1949—Frank
G. Mayer introduces photography to cut stencils for screen-printing
process
1952—Frank
G. Mayer pioneers the use of four-color process in screen printing
1957—FMA
perfects the halftone method of printing
1958—Cylinder
press arriving at FMA is billed as the largest automatic
sheet feed press in the United States
1959—The
Borrowdale, billed as the largest film camera in the United
States, is installed at FMA
1960—FMA
wins the Screen Printing Association's International Award
1964—FMA
breaks ground on headquarters in Grafton, Wis.
1966—FMA
designs and produces a merchandising solution for Ampex cassette
and eight-track tapes
1968—FMA
attends its first trade show
1973—FMA
enters the P-O-P industry with award-winning displays for
Brown Forman Distillers

markets the first interactive game console for Atari

W. Mayer is named president of FMA
