NASFM
Retail Design Awards Announces
Record Number of Winning Projects
Hollywood,
FL (3/8/02) NASFM Retail Design Awards judges awarded
22 Outstanding Merits, 17 Grand Prizes, 18 Special Merits for
Outstanding Store Fixtures, 1 "Fixture of the Year"
and 1 "Store of the Year," a total of 59 awards in
all and more than the program has ever recognized. A list of
the winning projects, including contributing companies, is available
upon request.
NASFMs awards program is unique in that it is the only
program which specifically recognizes store fixture design and
manufacturing. Winners of "Special Merits for Outstanding
Store Fixtures" and the "Fixture of the Year,"
truly reflect innovation in store fixture manufacturing and
material usage.
Winners of Outstanding Merits and Grand Prizes in each category,
as well as the overall "Fixture of the Year" and "Store
of the Year," will remain a secret until the NASFM Retail
Design Awards Reception & Presentation on April 18. Retailers,
designers, and fixture manufacturers will be recognized during
the hour-long awards ceremony that concludes the first day of
GlobalShop. This years winners integrated strong brand
identity into their store and fixture designs and used traditional
materials in unique ways to support their store brands. Display
& Design Ideas is the Presenting Sponsor of the awards ceremony,
and, as such, will be publishing a complete "Winners Book"
featuring all winning projects in its May issue.
