Hollywood, Fla. (July 9, 2008)—NADI (The National Association of Display Industries) has named Brad Somberg, president of B&N Industries, as its new chairman, effective immediately. With Somberg’s appointment, NADI begins an in–depth assessment of its future.
“The past few years have marked major changes for NADI, beginning with our integration into NASFM, now the Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.), and followed by the launch of the new NADI Show last year,” Somberg said. “As A.R.E. has been repositioned and rebranded this past year, it’s also appropriate that NADI reassess its role within the organization. We’re excited about the possibilities.”
Somberg will lead the strategic planning process, working with A.R.E.’s Karen Schaffner, who has recently assumed the position of NADI managing director. Somberg and Schaffner will solicit input from key NADI and A.R.E. members and will develop a plan to be presented at the next NADI Board meeting, Dec. 9 in New York City.
