Hollywood,
Fla. (8/9/02)Confirming
its earlier projection, the National Association of Store Fixture
Manufactures reported that store fixture manufacturing contracted
slightly in 2001, according to its newly published 2002 PROFIT
Report. The 91 NASFM member companies that participated in the
survey reported total sales of more than $1.3 billion in 2001.
The median company in the survey reported a sales decline of
1% compared to 3.1% growth reported in 2000.
In 2001, profit margins decreased along with revenue. The survey
recorded median profit before taxes for the typical member participant
of 2.4%, down from the 4.4% in the 2001 Report.
Revenue growth and profit before taxes are just two of the measures
reported in this detailed, comprehensive financial survey of
the North American store fixture manufacturing industry. The
2002 Profit Report includes industry averages for all line items
on the income statement and balance sheet, cross-referenced
by sales volume, product mix, and materials manufactured. NASFM
member companies that participate in the report receive a free
copy, while non-participating members can purchase a copy for
$250; the cost for non-members is $500. To order visit our Web
