Hollywood, Fla.— Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the NASFM Retail Design Awards has grown into the most visible design competition of its kind, and the only one that recognizes individual store fixture design and manufacturing. Awards will be presented to winning retailers, designers, and manufacturers at the end of the first day of GlobalShop in Orlando. Whether you enter or win, plan to attend the awards presentation and reception in the Valencia Ballroom from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 26.

Entries may be submitted by retailers, designers, architects, or store fixture manufacturers for projects completed between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2005. Projects are judged by a panel of retail designers, store planners, and design editors. Awards are based on excellence in design, originality in the use of space and fixtures, and quality in executing the concept. Top honors are awarded to one “Fixture of the Year” and one “Store of the Year.” Grand Prizes and Outstanding Merits will be designated in each store category, and multiple Store Fixture Awards will be recognized.

Entries may be submitted for new or remodeled department and specialty stores, shops, service retailers, restaurants, supermarkets, and store fixtures. Entry deadlines are: Dec. 15, 2005 (early bird); Jan. 13, 2006 (final).

NASFM is an international, not-for-profit association representing the store fixture manufacturing industry since 1956. The association’s membership includes about 400 store fixture manufacturing companies with over 800 plants worldwide. About 250 suppliers to the industry are also members. NASFM members produce more than 85 percent of the store fixtures manufactured in North America.
