Hollywood, Fla.— In its 36th year, the NASFM Retail Design Awards has grown into the most widely covered design competition of its kind, and the only one that recognizes individual store fixture design and manufacturing. Entries may be submitted for new or remodeled department and specialty stores, shops, service retailers, restaurants, supermarkets, store fixtures, and visual presentations.

Retailers, designers, architects, and suppliers of store fixture and visual presentation products can submit projects completed between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2006. Entries will be judged by a panel of retail designers, store planners, and design editors. Awards are based on excellence in design, originality in the use of space and fixtures, and quality in executing the concept.

Awards will be presented to winning retailers, designers, and suppliers at the end of the first day of GlobalShop in Las Vegas. Top honors are awarded to one “Fixture of the Year” and one “Store of the Year.” Grand Prizes and Outstanding Merits will be designated in each store category, and multiple Store Fixture Awards and Visual Presentation Awards will be recognized. The awards presentation and reception will take place in the Venetian Ballroom, 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 7.

New This Year…Visual Presentation Awards
For the first time, submitting companies can get their visual elements and presentations considered at the same price as their store fixtures or enter only their best visual elements for a chance to win one of multiple Visual Presentation Awards.

Earlier Deadlines This Year!
To accommodate earlier GlobalShop dates, entry deadlines have been moved up to: Dec. 1, 2006 (early bird); Dec. 15, 2006 (final). Please make a note of this in your planning calendars.
