PAVE Gala Raises Over $100,000 for Education

Hollywood, Fla. (Dec. 21, 2006)—On Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, retailers and designers gathered at PAVE’s 10th Annual Fundraising Gala at the Essex House in New York City to celebrate and show their support for the future of the retail design industry. The Gala event drew a crowd of over 300 influential retailers, designers, and industry suppliers from companies including Federated Department Stores, the Neiman Marcus Group Inc., Target, Bloomingdale’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Macy’s, Ann Taylor, Bank of America, Harley-Davidson, FRCH Design Worldwide, Chute Gerdeman, RYA Design Consultancy, Gensler, Callison, and many others. The event raised over $100,000 for PAVE’s educational programs, making this most successful fundraising event in PAVE’s history. Fifteen seats donated by industry companies allowed students to attend and benefit from the event.

Following a cocktail reception, guests moved into the Essex House’s Grand Salon for dinner and the awards ceremony. At the awards presentation, PAVE recognized the winners of this year’s PAVE Student Design Competition, sponsored by Target, awarding $21,000 in grants to students and schools. For a complete list of student and school recipients, visit www.p-a-v-e.info.
