DAVACO Appoints Executives

June 26, 2008 — National provider of retail services DAVACO has named Mark Roberson vice president of product merchandising and global consolidation. In this role Roberson oversees merchandising, logistics and consolidation, warehousing, site and marketing surveys, and fundamental graphics and fixture installations for DAVACO clients. He reports to F.L. Chase, senior vice president of retail operations.

Roberson joined DAVACO in 1990 and has served in a variety of management positions over the last 18 years, with responsibilities ranging from overseeing the logistical management of field employees, job scheduling and tracking, to directing all phases of field training, equipment rental, and temporary labor acquisition. He most recently served as vice president of global logistics and consolidation. Prior to joining DAVACO, Roberson owned and operated RobCo Construction.

Steve Covert was recently named DAVACO’s director of design services, responsible for managing all aspects of the design department, as well as serving clients' store and retail fixture needs. He reports to Mike Murray, senior vice president of operations.

Covert previously was employed with 7-Eleven as the corporate architect. In this role he was responsible for store design, planning, and design-document criteria, value engineering of store equipment, and construction material cost management. Prior to that, Covert served as a project manager for Brown Reynolds Watford Architects. Covert earned a bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

DAVACO specializes in the quality management and execution of in-store merchandising, shop-in-shops and high-volume rollouts, retrofits, resets, and new stores. Services include rollouts, retrofits, resets and remodels; fixture and graphics installations; project services; project management; hard- and soft-line merchandising; site and marketing surveys; logistics and consolidation; and design services.
