idX to Expand Louisville Facility

Oct. 31, 2008 — idX Corporation has announced plans to expand production and distribution operations at its Louisville location, creating more than 150 new jobs in the next three years. The company will invest more than $2.7 million to expand capacity at its 420,000-square-foot facility in Jeffersonville, Ind., located just north of Louisville, Ky.

The announcement marks the second expansion in the two years since idX moved into the building, which houses manufacturing, distribution, and offices.

"The expansion of idX's Louisville operations brings new opportunities to the company, which has gained market share with its retail fixtures and custom millwork products," said Louisville General Manager David Kilgore. "idX always strives to stay ahead of the growth curve when it comes to resources." idX plans to begin hiring managers, engineers, machine operators, and laborers next year, Kilgore added.
