Kepron to Lead Little's Retail Studio in New York City

Dec. 2, 2008 — David Kepron, AIA, has joined Little as studio principal, store design, in New York City. In this capacity, Kepron will be responsible for managing all aspects of Little’s Retail Practice Group in New York City, including advancing relationships with current Little clients and deepening relationships with other retail clientele around the U.S. that are focused on the New York City metropolitan area.

The addition of David Kepron is coincident with Little’s continued growth in the fashion retail segment and reinforces the firm’s strategy to focus on the nation's and world’s most provocative and forward-looking retailers.

“David is well known in New York circles and will represent Little’s brand of intelligent design well,” said Bruce Barteldt, National Studio Principal of Little’s Retail Practice Group.

Throughout his more than 20 years in the industry, Kepron has worked with multidisciplinary teams of architects, interior, and graphic designers to create new retail brands and store concepts for national and international rollout programs. His portfolio includes projects ranging from high-fashion brands and mass merchants to independent retailers and hi-tech bricks and clicks. His clients have included ILORI, Perry Ellis, Toys "R" Us, Lacoste, Polo Jeans Company, Godiva Chocolatier, Levi’s, Candie’s, Bean Pole, Giordano, and Ralph Lauren.

Kepron has been invited to speak to retailers and design professionals nationally and internationally on subjects covering value engineering, design principles, consumer behavior and trends, and their relationship to store design and visual merchandising. He is a frequent lecturer and has served as adjunct professor for the Masters of Interior Design Program at Drexel University in Philadelphia, New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising, and the International Academy of Merchandising and Design in Montreal. Kepron has also served as director of the visual merchandising department at LaSalle International Fashion School in Singapore. He has also served on VMSD magazine’s editorial advisory board and the Association for Retail Environment's (A.R.E.'s) DreamTeam. He received an architecture degrees from McGill University in Montreal.
