LEED GA

With the commercial/institutional market for green building forecast to grow 137 percent by 2013, an increasing number of retail projects are being designed and built to LEED standards. The most widely used green building benchmark, LEED is an essential frame of reference for anyone who wants business from green projects. This industry-focused course guides retail environments professionals in studying to become a LEED Green Associate.

The A.R.E. class helped lay the foundation I needed to pass the exam, and the behind-the-scenes studying I did on my own filled in the rest.

Credentialing

LEED Green Associate is a professional credential demonstrating green building expertise in non-technical fields of practice. The fastest-growing LEED-related credential, LEED Green Associate is the most accepted professional standard for non-technical personnel on green building projects. In addition, it is the first step toward becoming a LEED Accredited Professional.

Engagement in (or completion of) an education program that addresses green building principles is one of three ways to be eligible to sit for the LEED Green Associate credentialing exam. This course provides a framework for studying for the exam. A.R.E. does not administer the credentialing exam and makes no guarantees for passing it. Students are expected to study on their own, and additional sources for this purpose are recommended during this course.
