What is a webinar?
Short for web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, workshop, or seminar transmitted live over the Internet. Attendees sit at their own computers to watch the presentation, typically while listening to the speaker(s) through a standard telephone line. Unlike webcasts, most webinars provide for some interaction between speaker and audience, typically involving Q&A.

Why is A.R.E. offering Lunch n' Learn webinars?
In addition to A.R.E.'s outstanding existing educational programming, A.R.E. Lunch n' Learn webinars offer members and retailers free valuable information while enabling members to reach their target audience with appropriate content.

How do I register for an A.R.E. Lunch n' Learn webinar?

Click on the registration link provided, complete the form, and click submit. If you have questions about your registration, please contact Yajayra Wojtas, yajayrasaunders@retailenvironments.org, 954-241-4831.

A coworker will attend a webinar with me. Does each person need to register separately?
If your coworker will be with you and both of you will be looking at the same computer screen and listening to the same phone, only one registration is needed. If your coworker will be in a different location or wishes to view the presentation on a separate computer, a separate registration will be needed.

I cannot attend a webinar at the time it is offered, but I am interested in the topic. May I attend the webinar at another time?
The webinar will not be available before the appointed date and time, but it will be archived for access after the live presentation. If you register for the webinar, A.R.E. will email you a link to the archived version after the webinar. This link will allow you to see and hear the archived presentation through your computer. And you'll be able to email any questions to the sponsor.

What equipment do I need to attend an A.R.E. Lunch n' Learn webinar?
You will need a computer with access to the Internet as well as a standard telephone. You do not need PowerPoint or special software other than your computer’s operating system and an Internet browser. To ensure that the computer you intend to use to attend the webinar is compatible, visit http://test.readytalk.com using that computer’s Internet browser.

Will I be able to ask questions during the webinar?
Yes. During the webinar, you can submit questions by typing them into the questions box on your computer screen. You may submit a question at any time during the webinar. The speaker may answer your question when it is asked, or your question may be answered at the end of the prepared presentation during the scheduled Q&A time. To ask a question about an archived webinar, simply email the sponsor.
