What is a webinar?
Short for web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, workshop, or seminar transmitted live over the Internet. Attendees sit at their own computers to watch the presentation, typically while listening to the speaker(s) through a standard telephone line. Unlike webcasts, most webinars provide for some interaction between speaker and audience, typically involving Q&A.

How do I register for an A.R.E. University webinar?
Registration for A.R.E. University webinars is available online only. Click on the registration link provided. If you have questions about your registration, please contact Yajayra Saunders, yajayrasaunders@retailenvironments.org, 954-241-4831.
A coworker will attend a webinar with me. Does each person need to register separately?
If your coworker will be with you and both of you will be looking at the same computer screen, only one registration is needed. If your coworker will be in a different location or wishes to view the presentation on a separate computer, a separate registration will be needed.
For any webinars that offer continuing education credits, a separate registration is required for each individual. |
I cannot attend a webinar at the time it is offered, but I am interested in the topic. May I attend the webinar at another time?
The webinar will not be available before the appointed date and time, but it will be archived for access after the live presentation. A.R.E. will provide a separate link for you to access the archived version. You will be able to see and hear the archived presentation through your computer. Keep in mind that an archived webinar is not live, so you will not be able to ask questions while viewing an archived webinar.
What equipment do I need to attend an A.R.E. University webinar?
You will need a computer with access to the Internet. You do not need PowerPoint or special software other than your computer’s operating system and an Internet browser. To ensure that the computer you intend to use to attend the webinar is compatible, visit www.readyshow.com using that computer’s Internet browser.
Will I be able to ask questions during the live webinar?
Yes. A.R.E. University webinars are designed to allow for questions. During the webinar, you can submit questions by typing them into theQ&A box on your screen. We encourage you to submit questions as they arise during the webinar, but most questions will be answered at the end of the prepared presentation during the scheduled Q&A time.
What do I need to do to prepare for the webinar?
A.R.E. recommends that you test your computer for compatibility prior to the conference by visiting www.readyshow.com.
How do I join the webinar?
When you register, instructions will appear on your screen when you click "submit." You may wish to print that information or post it on your calendar so that you have it handy when you need it. On the appointed date and time, follow the instructions. If you need help joining a conference, call 877-366-0711 in the U.S., 866-627-1651 in Canada, or 302-709-8446 internationally.
